The Lyrics

A long long time ago...
No one will remember
What creative chef baked the first pie
He must have been so very smart
To invent such great pastry art
So yummy to the tummy, makes me sigh

First came a mixing bowl of flour
To form a crust folks could devour
Next would be the filling
So many choices thrilling..

At first, he may have failed and cried
But, never gave up, again he tried
Until he had his pan of pride
That day the world was pied

Now, I buy good American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Keeps my appetite high
Such a Joy to bite and such a sight to the eye
Makes me wanna sit and eat till I die
Wanna sit and eat till I die

Pie cook books are books of love
Should win the Nobel Prize, Lord Above!
They're the bibles for good dough
Now, you can have your cake and roll
But, a pie satisfies the soul
Ones with whipped cream I just savor real slow

I must admit that I'm in love with them
Tasty pies are like a dessert gem
Brown toasted egg white ooze
When I'm havin pie, it's good news

I love strawberry, I love cherry, too
Also, sweet potato, and the berry, blue
God was good to us, it's true
The day the world was pied

That's why I'm singin'
I buy great American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Sends my appetite high
Such a joy to bite and such a sight to the eye
Makes me wanna' sit and eat till I die
'Wanna sit and eat till I die..

The effect of my addiction's shown
I'm growin' fat like a rollin stone
But, still love every calorie
So, I'll sacrifice, and here's what I mean
I'll just give up bein' lank and lean
Pie is worth all this obesity

Can't see my feet when I'm lookin' down
So, what? I know my shoes are brown
This cellulite I've earned
I'll tell Satan when I'm burned
I scarfed lemon with it's tangy tarts
Ingested apple by the carts
I think civilization starts
The day the world was pied

Gimme more of,
My my sweet American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Shoots my appetite high
A joy to bite and such a sight to the eye
Makes me wanna' sit and eat till I die
Wanna' sit and eat till I die

Banana cream is a real tongue melter
Please put more filling in my pie shell, sir
Entered pie eating contests
I always won, I'm the best
Piece a' pie, I'm never even stressed
When it's over, I still chow down all the rest

Now, when I die want pie in my tomb
Maybe five or six if there is room
Then shove more in my pants
'Cause eatin' pie is my romance
Heard there's pi that's 3.1416
Just bring it on, I'll try some licks
So glad the world was pied..

It keeps me singin'
My my, love American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Makes my appetite fly
A joy to eat and such a sight to the eye
That it just makes me wanna' eat till I die
Makes me wanna' eat till I die

I have piles a' pies stacked at my place
They take up all my living space
I sample each one, now and then
Just like that guy, Jack Horner in the rhyme
Stick my thumb in plum all the time
When I can't sleep, no sheep, count pies again

At a talent show I jumped on stage
And juggled pies, I was a rage
Ten at a time, none fell
They said I done real well
And so they handed me first prize that night
The other acts were mad, food fight
I don't throw pies, but I threw a right
So glad my face got pied..

Had me singin'
Fly fly good American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Hits my mouth, I get high
A joy to bite and such a sight to the eye
And, it just makes me wanna eat till I die
Makes me wanna' eat till I die

I met a girl who loved pies, too
So we both enjoyed a piece or two
Then, we were married very soon
Exchanged vows at the bak'ry store
No wedding cake, just wedding pies galore
Even filled the truck up for our Honeymoon

When we came out, the people screamed
Threw pies, not rice, got vanilla creamed
We drove off to Hoboken
The church bell pies had spoken
Got the three things I admire most
Two coconut creams with eggwhite toast
And my pie bride tied to a bedpost
Now, my whole world is pied

All night we're makin'
Love with our American Pies
Kinda' messy, but it's sexy
Kinky stuff you should try
A joy to eat and lotsa' fun near the fly
That it just makes ya' wanna eat till ya' die
Makes ya' wanna' eat till ya' die

We keep singin'
My my, love American Pie
Crisp and flaky from a bak'ry
Takes our appetites high
A joy to bite and such a sight to the eye
That it just makes us wanna' eat till we die
It just makes us wanna' eat..till..we..die...

A creamy good parody, my man! 5-5-5 all the way to Hoboken! Sure beats the crap outta Stella Baker's American Pie parody, I tell ya what. It's a shame that there's been a deficiency of good American Pie parodies lately.

a simple but brilliant concept...i liked what you baked up

Wow. I didn't think anybody could write so MUCH about such a simple subject without becoming annoying or repetitive. But...I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it, but somehow, your parody kept me interested. However, being the ciritic that I am, I took off a point for the "Kinky" chorus (I know, I'm hard to please). Otherwise, you "airfarce-WON" a 544 from me with this wonderful, er, "piece."

Lol, this is so funny! XD Even the part when he gets fat. Reminds me of the math joke... "I blame my large circumference on the pi!" Yeah, anyway, the pacing was like PERFECT, keep up the good work!

Thanks for votes and comments to Dylan, alvin, Jonathan S, Agrimorfee, and Stephish

Like Al said, a simple idea masterfully done is no bad thing. Ampie is tough enough, but to wax lyrical about one foodstuff for so many verses is a real achievement. Bravo! 555

Brilliantly done, I fiddled around with this idea as well, but I could never have done it as good as this was.

Thanks, Kristof, and Matthias....I was amazed when I checked "Search" before submitting this, that there were 134 parodies written to this song, and not one was actually about what the title suggests, literally,..pies

Great job, AFW. This parody made me want to go out and get some pie. So I did. I'm not kidding.
