"Newt’s Sinkin’ Down"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

He sucked off K Street, and they paid him millions—
Great expectations had they for the dollars dude.
Amid that feat he went and acted lewd. . .
Late in the campaign, sought White House altitude.

Johnny come lately, now Newt’s sinkin’ down;
Didn’t get much love through-out Iowa towns.

You look, and the guy is losing ground every day.
Hopeless, his antics. . .doesn’t seem to ken:
More and more people are lookin’ the other way.
It’s a feckless part he plays again.

Johnny-done, plainly is Newt sinkin’ down.
His bull folks see through; he won’t be around.
For a few minutes, he’s getting bolder,
Right Lite for the right, he got the cold shoulder. . .
It’s cold there—not well he polled there.

He’s out on the street, ’cause folks didn’t find him
To be the one that they’re after;
He’ll, too, be gone.
They’re walkin’ away; not many left behind him.
How soon they will forget you
When there’s a new loon comin’ on.

Dude ain’t doin’ greatly;
There is Newt, sinkin’ down.
Nobody loves him; lamely
He will soldier on till he’s not around.
Then, bye-bye.

There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down,
Just another stooge sinkin’ down—
Boo-hoo!
Everybody’s walking, so
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down—
Boo-hoo.
Everybody’s walkin’, so
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down.
Everybody’s talking about
Newt sinkin’ down—
Scoot, Newt.
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down;
I don’t want to hear him.
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down,
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down.
Everybody’s mocking;
There’s a Newt, sinkin’ down.
People away walking;
There is Newt, sinkin’ clown.

Newt was right about one thing: Mitt IS a liar. But Mitt also made Don Henley a liar: He stabbed Newt with his steely ads, and he seems to have killed the beast!

He ain't dead yet. Time will tell. Seems as if Mitt has it sewed up, though.
