The Lyrics

I took myself to Koo-Koo-Roo
Hoping for good food to eat
Frazzled and standing, fully famished
Hunger pains ran deep

Toxic was the turkey
Greasy were the fries
I could not taste the dressing
Taste buds got paralyzed

So, where to now, Chef Wolfgang
If it's true you're losing cash
This food is not so tasty
Soon it will be in the trash
I understand from news reports
You'll soon be going broke
So, where to now, Chef Wolfgang
This meal was a bad joke
It made me choke

He took a good young foreign chef
But then the food got poor
Somehow there's nothing there worth eating
I fear I must report

Dirty was the flatware
Main course tasted strange
Despite it's reputation
This chicken's not free range

Some nice imagery here Paul - I especially liked "toxic was the turkey". Pacing was excellent, except you should have put the chorus in again, even if you only repeated it. I gave you 4-4-5. (personally, I think WP's Nine Bean Italian Sausgae Soup is great! :-) )

Meriadoc, yeah, I wrote it from the lyric sheet published with the CD and they didn't repeat the chorus there after the final verse. When I listened to it yesterday I realized there should have been a chorus repeat. Thanks for the constructive comment and the praise. I think Puck may have sold out his Koo-Koo-Roo holdings, maybe(?). And yes, I like his soups also.

I like this one, dislike Koo-Koo-Roo, and especially like "Jew Canoe." There is no place for comments on that one, so... I don't think it's offensive and I'm Jewish. When I lived in L.A., all those Cadillac drivers -- Jewish and otherwise -- "drove" me crazy in their big boats, floating merrily all over the road!

Mari D, Thanks. I'm Jewish, too. I ran it by a couple of other "tribe" members here at work and they saw no issue. Still, the only time I want to offend is when I really mean to, and that is fortunately not very often. So I ran the slight disclaimer. I remember we used the term a wee bit around our house when I was growing up. Yes, I forgot to check the "allow comments" box when I posted that one. I always want to hear what people have to say, to me that's about the biggest reason to post here.
