The Lyrics

Tricky one to pace because some of the 1st words of a line are almost silent

I’m fightin’ this evenin’…my wife had said, “Grow a pair”
I put in my groin cup…and utter an anxious prayer
An’ then she asks me, “Is your hook alright?”
An’ I say, “Yes, I feel powerful tonight”

I’m eighty pound lighter…it could be a tragedy
This masterful fighter…is standin’ in front of me
An’ then I leak pee…as I turn all white
An’ I say, “Man, you look powerful tonight”

He’s not merciful an’ he can see the fear that’s in my eyes
But it’s Tyson, after all, an’ so with just one massive bomb I’m seein’ double

It’s time for the doc now…coz I’ve got an achin’ head
There’s a buckle in my knees…an’ my eye balls are red
An’ then she tells me…as I’m losin’ my sight
She says, “You weaklin’, he can take me home tonight”
“Oh, you weaklin’, he can take me home tonight”

Hey Andy! Long time no see :) I read this parody whilst listening to Eric on Youtube. No mean feat as EC generally sends me to sleep. I thought lines 2 and 3 were about playing cricket ;) I see things didn't end well for our hero, sad. I gave him the 5 count at the end. On a related subject, I haven't been able to convince Merry to collaborate in the last few years, but I have recently taken to releasing our finished parodies from some years ago, one a week or so. Feel free to go back and have a look, if you want.

Hey Andy, this is a reply to the comment you left on the M&P parody: Hi Andy. Merry introduced me to a bit of Zevon stuff. Check out "My sh*t's fu**ed up" and "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner"! Great songs. In answer to your questions, yes, there are a few old heads around but CML and Phil seem to be the only ones who will comment regularly. Trying to post one per week, it is a back catalogue of stuff we had done for years! Glad to see you have the urge to do more, I will keep a lookout.
