Parody Song Title:

"Barbarians"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

When all Rome is on a big carouse
And Byzantine seems safe from harm
Enemies will cross the Danube
And Rome has bought the farm!
This is the dawning of the age of Barbarians
Age of Barbarians
Barbarians!
Barbarians!

Ostrogoths and Vandals landing
Visigoths and Franks surrounding
No more aqueducts and villas
They're all raiding like guerillas
Ooops! There goes civilization
They're bent on annihilation
Barbarians!
Barbarians!

And then soon we're in the Dark Ages
Till Charlemagne subdues those Gauls
And cease all war and ban it
'Cus 'axe in the head' mauls!
This is the dawning of the age of Barbarians
Age of Barbarians
Barbarians!
Barbarians!
Barbarians!
Barbarians!

(instrumental shift to drumming hooves)

Let the Huns ride, let the Huns ride in, the Huns ride in
Let the Huns ride, let the Huns ride in, the Huns ride in
Let the Huns ride, let the Huns ride in, the Huns ride in

(miscellaneous scat... er.... splat...)

Oh let 'em ride
G' khan, now all you Hunsmen just swing a club
Let the Huns ride in
Copin' with a sharp sword - bet it's fine mincin'
No longer be Romely
Let 'em ride in
They'll be choppin' up your heart, let that sword slide on in
And when you feel like you've been defeated
And the hoards take their whacks on ya
They're tearing you apart complete with big snide grins
They're gonna wield it
They're gonna wield it
Their will they impart, and your head will spin
They want to kill you
The Huns sent you all along to the next dimension now
Hey, choppin' up those hearts

Let the Huns ride, let the Huns ride in, the Huns ride in
Let the Huns ride, let the Huns ride in, the Huns ride in

Now that this parody is almost 5 years old, let me confirm what previous commenters said. This is an excellent parody with great subs for Aquarius and sun, and you did a great job of squeezing 1,000 years of history into the rest of the parody.
