The Lyrics

Ever order something at a restaurant and never get it? You ask nicely once, maybe twice, but it doesn't seem to help. You finally give up; you've already finished everything else and at this point you really just want to get out of there. So you call the waiter and ask for the bill. So, you were wondering all along where your fries were? Well hey, there they are...THEY'RE ON THE BILL!
Waiter, I'd like to get your ear
If you would just come over here, 'cause I'm trying
to be patient with you, man
When I ordered up my food
I really thought you understood I wanted french fries
not these veggies from a can

Hey dude, my fries
Did I order wrong?
I said "french fries", I hope you'll bring them before long

I have tried hard not to curse
But now my mood has gotten worse
I've been waiting over half an hour it seems
And when you bring me the bill
I'll bet my fries will be there still; if they are it's likely
You will hear me scream

Dude, this ain't right!
Didn't get no fries -
It might be wise
If you would make the total right

Waiter, my fries
Hear my plantiff cry
I have been nice, but now my temper's on the rise.

Here's your order, steamin' hot and fresh from the five-o-lator.

Johnny D - Ahh...Thanks...Any chance of 'Super-sizing' that?
Johnny D - March 18, 2004 - Report this comment
Hmmm, a vote of 555 Super-Sized would be 666, so you'd have to make a DWTD to get that....you could give Dick Clark Productions a call - I've heard that the vampire who answers the phone is a sucker for good parody writers.

Sounds like you have a 'chip' on your shoulder ...er I mean your bill... ;-)

Clever parody, Paul, but did you mean plaintiff or plaintive?
Paul Robinson - March 18, 2004 - Report this comment
Alvin/Jan/Mer/John J - Thank you all! John, "plaintive" would be the correct word here, I stand guilty as charged. I ask for a reduction in sentence by the amount of fries NOT served...

Great job! 555 orders of fries! I always love a fries parody, I have so many dang parodies about fries and other foods LOL
David Chrenko - March 19, 2004 - Report this comment
Well done, Paul. Do you want fives with that?
Paul Robinson - March 19, 2004 - Report this comment
Jack W - thanks! David C - Yes, please...uhhh...can I get those "five's" super-sized, also?
Leo Jay - April 09, 2004 - Report this comment
Uh, that'll be $5.55, sir. (Geez, you have to try to be clever just to keep up with the comments around here -- I LOVE David Chrenko's above...)
Paul Robinson - April 10, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks, Leo...I see you're becoming a "seasoned" hand at the comments now, although still not as salty as some.

No point in being effusive: I enjoyed the parody. Well done!
