The Lyrics

There I was with no resentment, life without regrets
Deep inside was sheer contentment - till the day we met
Feel as though my whole world now is full of pain and strife
Since the day that I first met: the mother of my wife

Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law

To the floor I tried to stick her, and sneak out of the room
I bought her a bumper sticker: "My other car's a broom"
You don't know what she's like, and one day I told 'er
At least you're well-balanced, got a chip on either shoulder

Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law

You don't know what she's like

Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law

Mother-in-law

Well done, I can only remember the tune for the chorus, but the lyrics are great. My mother-in-law is wonderful, of course =)

The worst thing about Mother-in-laws are that when you look at them you get a prelook at what your woman - her daughter - will look like in twenty-twentyfive years time. Hmm... that reminds me, I gotta go buy some more stock in the cosmetics industry...

Let's see... Heavy metal? "The Devil's music." Mother-in-law? "Satan should be her name, to me they're 'bout the same." -- Ernie K-Doe. I wish I'd thought of this one.

DKTOS and am under the belief that EmiLoca was immaculatey born from her father. "My other car's a broom" -classic.

Oops... I forgot the disclaimer: this is, of course, in no way about my own mother-in-law ;-)
The biggest regret I have with this parody is that the OS isn't longer: there are sooooo many m-i-l jokes and so few verses. Anyway, thanks, guys

I see this was posted 5 days before my arrival on the site. Excellent work with such a short (too short) song Phil. Funny bumper sticker.
