Parody Song Title:

"Angel, It's A Pork Thing"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

This is about a thing called "Heavenly Ham"; originated in West
Virginia, don't know how many states they're in. But it's divine.
They take the strings off of the ham
And spiral slice it all apart
you want to taste something that's grand
You can't stop eating once you start
Buy one and take that porker home
It won't be lasting very long

Chorus:
Just call it Heaven, it's a pork thing, baby
It's honey glazed and it's from West Virginia
Just call it Heaven, it's a pork thing, baby
Just take a taste and you will see

They spread some spices on the top
And they flow down into the meat
If eating pork is quite a sin
Then I'm in Purgatory deep
No it ain't kosher, it's divine
A ham so succulent and fine

Just call it Heaven, it's a pork thing, baby
It's honey glazed and it's from West Virginia
Just call it Heaven, it's a pork thing, baby
Just take a little taste....
none of it goes to waste....with me
Try with beer..one day
Try with beer, baby, baby

Repeat Chorus

Sounds yummy, Royce. I really, really like vinegar-based North Carolina pulled-pork barbecue.

DKTOS, but I'm guessing ;-) "No it ain't kosher, it's divine" made me laugh..

If it's anything like the Honey Baked Ham we have out here, I'm right there with you! Mmmmm...ham...

The original, by Merilee Rush, I think it was, was much better than Newton's cover. But the parody's better then either.

Yes job, Royce...don't recall seeing "Heavenly Ham" out here in the Los Angeles area...maybe I'll check with my Rabbi about where I might be able to find it...(actually I'm non-observant, so I could harf some ham without any 2nd thoughts, although I probably wouldn't do it over the Yom Kippur period we are in right now). 5's...

I thought it was great Royce, though I considered docking you for crediting Juice instead of the superior Merilee Rush version, heh heh heh..... 5's still !

Royce, had to slip in a comment - re: "Troublemaker" Good job. 5's - It's sad that you felt the need to foreclose on comments, however.
