Parody Song Title:

"Beyond, My Blue Horizon"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Beyond, the blue Horizon
It's life is over and done
There sets my old Horizon
Rusting in the sun

Beyond, that blue Horizon
Knew a much better day
It made a bed for new loves
Joy was one, so was Kay

On blocks, my old Horizon
Gone, wheels, so shiny, once spun
Back then, we'd take hills risin'
I'd give it the gun..

Too bad, my old Horizon
Broke it's transmission, it's done
She used to hum just for me
Cruising in the sun

Can't scrap my old Horizon
Scrap, just wouldn't be right
Inside there's hornets nesting
Dog bunks in it, at night

But wait, cable, two guys on
"Amer'can Pickers" - wheels spun
Phoned Danielle, they came by
Sold my Hor- i -zon..

Said they would restore it
Lives on, my blue Horizon

Know anybody who wants a 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue? Flip a coin and see if it starts. I get too emotionally attached to cars, especially when they are on their last legs. Maybe the motor will live on in somebody's hot rod. If "American Pickers" will drive all the way from Iowa to South Carolina to pay $50 for an old bicycle frame, maybe they could come to Kansas City and take this old car off my hands.

AFW, I love your car parodies-555! You just reminded me to do a parody on the Nazi Schlorwagen that never made it to the public. It was so aerodynamic- 0.11 drag coefficient, that it beat the Mercedes T80 LSR with a drag coefficient of 0.18!!! The war prevented production and the Germans loaned the vehicle out to the Finns who mounted a huge prop on it- bizarre!!!

I can relate. My '66 Charger is sitting, rusting away in Reseda, while I am in Ohio... :(
