Parody Song Title:

"King Kong, New"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

They should have stopped at just one
King Kong, New
It's computer techy
King Kong, New
New York City wreckie

First away, lovely Fay Wray
Was black & white, but new
The next one brang Jessica Lange
In it she made her scream debut
Made her scream debut...

King Kong, three
Guess he had two brothers
King Kong, we
Just don't need the others

Ebert's thumb, will bid you come
He claims this monkey is best
But, we've seen the show,
How it ends, we know
Please, no more ape screen tests

King Kong, New
We don't want it really..
King Kong old
Had more touchy, feely...

This remake may be about an ape, but it's a turkey. Perhaps aprocryphal: Dino Di Laurentis (producer of the ur-turkey 1976 remake of "Kong") was at a party, talking with John Peters (producer of ur-turkey remake of "A Star is Born," with B. Streisand). Peters, a bit drunk, boasted: "My picture's gonna make ten times as much as your picture!" Replied Dino: "You may be right. Your gorilla can sing." 5s, BTW.

Hollywood producer: "Get me one of them 'King-Kong' movies!" Hollywood yes-man: "Right away! What should we call it?" Hollywood producer: "Call it something original, like, 'King Kong' !! AH, I'M SO BRILLIANT!! YES!!"

I heard the publicity for the '76 remake from the words of Dino DeHorrendous (paraphrase): "They gonna love Konk. This Konk, gonna make people cry." Little did he know it would be the investors...(SHAMELESS PLUG http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/thebeatles636.shtml )Good parody, btw Airforcewon

Going ape over this parody. Is it true that King Kong's favorite singer is Gwen Stefani? You know: "B-A-N-A-N-A-S!"

Agree 100% with the preface and the senitment. Old Hollywood proverb: "Anything worth doing is worth doing over and over and over and....." Five apes or five Hollywood producers, take your pick, same IQ....
