The Lyrics

I confess: I got the title from “The Daily Show.” Despite having terminal foot-in-mouth disease, Michael Steele occasionally speaks the truth, such as when he said that Rush Limbaugh is “incendiary."
This guy’s gold for f**kups,
Gives a sweet sound bite.
Unseemly, Mr. Steel, he’s
Without wiles.
When he talks, it’s a gaffe goldmine;
People can’t believe their ears.
Steele crazy after all these years.
Whoa!
Steele crazy after all these years.

He’s not the kind of man
Who tends to act too wise.
He ain’t too keen on
Watching what he’ll say,
’cause he is a fool who does wrong,
And the party’s in tears.
Steele crazy after all these years.
D’oh!
Steele crazy after all these years.

More we are scoring—
Gaffe count’s soaring. . .
Longing for wrongs he’ll say.
We never worry
That this guy
Screws up. . .off we’re paid.

Now will the big guys[1] winnow
Him who does much harm
When he speaks and causes damage
When he brays.
I’ll bet he’ll not be evicted
By GOP[2] jerkoffs, despite jeers.
D’oh! Steele crazy
Steele hazy,
Steele crazy—gaffester without peer.

[1]When Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and other GOP big shots—to say nothing of fringe Looney Tunes such as Liz Cheney—are on your case, you know you got a problem. But the party’s in a quandary. Firing Steele would appeal to the relatively small but rabid racist element of the base. But the GOP is trying to broaden its appeal by appearing inclusive—thus the appointment of Steele in the first place. Will he stay or will he go? Hey, I think there’s a parody there.

We're certainly not dealing with stainless Steele here! Well done, JAB! ;D

Nobody pokes fun with a wittily worded JAB quite like JAB!

And I thought I was the only with the terminal foot-in-mouth disease. But unlike the Man of Steele, I always suck in my knee joint as well! Get ready to 'Steele' 3 sets of 5's coming out of his mouth!

I very rarely ever comment on political parodies, but since this is a favorite Paul Simon tune, I'll have to break my normal quiet. I have to say this is not rusty material in the least. Especially liked the "scoring/soaring" line.

JAB - I see that you are still "Steeling" the spotlight again. Well done.

Thanks, everyone. With guys like Steele on the scene, the parodies just write themselves.
