Song Parodies -> "Tax Peeple"

Original Song Title:

"Short People"

Original Performer:

Randy Newman

Parody Song Title:

"Tax Peeple"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

Tax peeple got no mercy
Tax peeple got no mercy
Tax peeple got no mercy
To give

They got little pens
And little files
And they strut around
With dollar sign eyes
They got great big noses
And razor sharp teeth
They send certified letters
That will give you lotsa grief
Well, I don't want no tax peeple
Don't want no tax peeple
Don't want no tax peeple
Round here

Tax peeple are just as broke
As you and I
(at least we can hope)
They work for Big Brother
They'll hound me til I die
(It's an IRS world)

Tax peeple got computers
Tax peeple got computers
Tax peeple got computers
They love

But if the little things crash
They would feel so low
And the tax computations
Would be so slow
They drive little cars
That run you over
You can't deduct Alpo
You buy for Rover
They got sticky little fingers
And greedy little minds
They're gonna get ya, every time
Well I don't want no tax peeple
Don't want no tax peeple
Don't want no tax peeple
Round here

I like the misspelling, indicating that they aren't human. A 555 refund.

Pomfret-your little comments about Jesus are getting old; I'm asking that your comment be removed, and if you don't get a kick out of my parodies, why are you so interested in reading them?

I don't want to render anything to Ceaser to use for his welfare state, so I agree. Go, Royce!

Them tax collectors are all communists...and democrats...and republicans...and libertarians...and so forth. 555.

Now you tell me that I can't deduct Alpo!

Very good spoof on a deserving target. But I think that Johnny D's characterization of libertarians is completely wrong.
Johnny D - April 26, 2005 - Report this comment
Communism = tax everybody at 100%.
Libertarianism = tax everybody at 000%.

I don't believe either description is 100% accurate in actual practice.

Besides, JJ, I was only kidding...the joke lay in how I started with communists, and then progressed through democrats to republicans and finally to libertarians, who as we all know make up the most anti-tax political movement ever to walk the earth --- with the possible exception of certain bands of anarchists --- although I suppose anarchists might levy taxes door-to-door to buy ammo and Slim Jims.
