They got rows of scales - over-lappin’ some
They’re a quirky sight to come upon

Get a pangolin friend
But they’re sharpish things

Like a pinecone that walks upright
Snufflin’ mounds of his chosen meals you know
Cruisin’ social insects, makes termites disappear
A good feed of ants, is quite worthwhile

Now they all rest obscured
Knowing that you’re near: disperse

If you’re clever in woods with no frantic treads
And you check at night in tree and ground
Find a hutch and a good spot outdoors
Accept that they know where you are
