High school can be rough. Believe me, I know- I'll be 18 in a few months. So imagine my reaction when I found out that my Spanish teacher had a problem with alcohol. Two days before I wrote this, he was half an hour late for work... it turned out that he had been drinking at the local diner. And don't get me started on when I saw him earlier at a local restaurant/bar! And at work, he sometimes acts a little buzzed... what's in his coffee?

To be spiked with Pinnacle Whipped Cream
Jumped up, slurred his words, arrived late
Teacher got drunk on a cold Wednesday

*There actually was a case of a guy in Kentucky who drove his car into a ditch and told the police that he "had only had two pizzas to drink". For the record, he'd been drinking whiskey and using heroin.

Nice concept and great OS choice. Substantial problems with syllable count, stress placement etc. - you need a lot more practice matching pace. Also, you didn't really embrace the issue - there are probably hundreds of thousands of problem drinkers who hold down steady jobs of all kinds. Firing them sends them down that slippery slope. Such people can be helped. How do - and how should - they and their employers deal with it? I don't wish to discourage you - please give us more.

Ain't it the truth! At my last command in California when I was in the Navy we had a Master Chief who went to the Chiefs bar on base and he got so soused his office was closed every afternoon because he was extremely trashed big time so that he'd pass out and sleep the afternoon off. The next morning he was mean and crabby to the max. If you wanted to do business with him you had to do it then and even then he'd get on you like an enraged lion. Come lunch time it was time to get tanked again. And so it went, every day.
