The Lyrics

I personally think that Frank Beamer didn't do anything wrong. It's not like he took a sledge hammer to the guys head. It was an open hand to the helmit. That being said, I couldn't resist doing this when I saw Malcom's "Beemer". "Wilford" refers to Ernest Wilford, the player Beamer hit.
Beamer, good ol' Frankie Beamer
Don't you put your hand to his head, oh no
Beamer, coach your Hokies, Beamer
Don't you put your hand to his head, oh no

I said, Oh my, what a game you lost on Wednesday night
You slapped, that recei-ver on his helmeted head
Now your hand is gonna be red

Beamer, smackin' your receivers
Now you're gonna catch hell from fans, oh no
I said, oh no, media will have a field day
Watch out, ESPN will be all over your back
Because of your temper attack

He had to do something (he could do anything he wants, boy)
He argued with someone (he argued with anyone close to him, boy)
He had to do something (had to do something)
He had to do anything (had to do something out of his mind)
"Nothing personal," Beamer, Beamer, Beamer, said to Wilford
Beamer, Beamer don't do that
C'mon Beamer doncha be like that
C'mon Beamer doncha be like that
C'mon Beamer doncha be like that

Beamer, you know you're lucky Beamer
Coulda been a lawsuit, my man, oh no
I said Beamer, that player is a wiener
If you really injured his head, oh no, oh no
