The Lyrics

This is the long awaited (by us, anyway!) follow-up release to our earlier parody, Barbarians/Let The Huns Ride In. A low-bitrate mp3 of the song can be found here.
Huns are brawling in some dark ages town
Now war is declared; Attila's come roun'
Huns are brawling amid stuff that's hurled
Step out and be plundered, both rois and churls
Huns are brawling, now don't look non-plussed
From Upper Mongolia massed riders 'midst dust
Huns are brawling, see they've come for your bling
Swept in with zing, now we're luncheon things

A nice age it isn't, there's huns loomin' in
Smitebound equestr'ans, from steps plateauing in
Thick skinned, not funny, their eyes show no cheer
'Cos Huns are such downers and we sit by and quiver

Huns are brawling in the place I call home
I'd really rather not be overthrown
Huns are brawling - bring on the promise of death
Dread hoards about so draw your last few breaths
Huns are brawling all day in and day out
And just for some sport, well, some heads were kicked about
Khans come calling and they don't want parlez
Infesting your lands with stiletto-y sway

A vice stage is coming, Eurasians zooming in
Regimes malfunction the Goths are growing thin
A huge speared terror, they've swilled all our beer
And burnt all our town halls and we, we're starting to shiver

Demise-age is coming, no fun entombing kin
Virgins not shunning, discreetness blown in sin
A spookier era - they slaver and sneer
'Cos Huns are such downers when they, they're skewering our livers...

Now get this
Huns are brawling, yes, blighted Danube
And you know what they said?
Well, not even thank you!
Huns are brawling and our crops they defile
Tall Caucasus leave us feeling hostile

Huns are brawling

Oh oh look out and duck! A pike! (a pike, a pike, a pike)

When you said, "long-awaited", you weren't kidding!... The predecessor hit me more 'cuz I KTOS and DK this one (was hoping for "London Bridge is Falling...) but the mp3 helped, and "rois and churls" wouldn't have been so brilliant without it. 555 A.D.

I absolutely love Middle Ages parodies. Historically correct and it was fun to sing along. I presume they could have done something like that in AD 555.
