The Lyrics

It seems that the Vatican has gone trendy (if not trending) - one of two submissions today inspired by this article, that the Pope has started tweeting. From his holy iPad.
He sits in the Vatican, Holy Dad:
Rappin' and a-tappin' on his Apple iPad
All the little Cath'lics think it's oh, so neat
Love to read the Pontiff go tweet tweet tweet

[Chorus:]
Tweetin' pontiff, tweet tweet
Tweetin' pontiff
Pope Benny XVI
Is a-sending out a tweet tonight

Every little ROFL, every OMG
Every holy word in that twitter feed
Ready made billions of follow-ars
To listen to his message in one-fifty-five chars

[Chorus]

Tellin' the world his new web address
Walkin' and a-talkin' out his RSS
Tellin' the world his URL:
Another way of sending out that Papal bull

[Chorus]

He sits in the Vatican, the new fad
Rappin' and a-tappin' on his Apple iPad
All the little Cath'lics think it's oh, so neat
Love to read the Pontiff go tweet tweet tweet

[Chorus]

I probably know less about tweeting than the elderly Pontiff does, but I catch the message. As a practical matter, I like to see the chorus repeated, rather than simply having (chorus) inserted. That way it is easier to go with the flow of the song and not have to look back, especially if a song is longer and the chorus is above the screen. A very well done parody. Odd coincidence: in his controversial 1973 novel on 3rd world immigration, "Camp of the Saints", author Jean Raspail names the fictitious Pope "Benedict XVI", but makes him a Brazilian, rather than a German.

I normally vary choruses, but when I'm wanting to perform something, I tend not to; if I'm being too lazy to vary the chorus, it seems a bit strange to write them out in full.. Thanks for the odd coincidence: do you think that's why Ratzinger chose the name?
