I really enjoyed your parody so much! Yeah, I used to watch "I Love Lucy" on TV. It's soooooo hilarious! My BF has lots of DVD's of "I Love Lucy". This song also reminds me of Peggy Bundy, the lazy housewife of Married...With Children. But, your lyrics are very well written, very creative, and fluently paced. I also enjoyed parodies relating to TV characters singing the song. I also love the OS, too! 555!!!

Christie Marie M - Well, thank you most kindly! I'm glad you got a kick out of my piece. Yes, I'm very fond of and quite well acquainted with the OS (and the OMD group, as well...a very good and under-appreciated band). You seem to like a lot of the same sort of parodies that I tend to write (and like as well). I always try to do something special lyrically with my parodies...and of course I'm thrilled when someone else recognizes and enjoys my stuff. Pacing has GOT to work or it's just not real to me, and it has to be "sing-able" as well...I do a voice-over recording of just about everything I write, and if it doesn't fit or work when I do that it's just not finished. Sometimes the words seem to work on paper and running them through your head, but when you try to sing them your tongue just can't get from "Word/syllable A" to "Word/syllable B"...the transition just can't be made within the pacing, pronounciation, emphasis and the musical notes. As you can probably tell, I also love to share my passion for writing this stuff and the enjoyment I get out of doing it...SAY...I'm thinking...thinking...OK, I seem to recall reading a piece a couple weeks ago done to CSN's "Suite; Judy Blue Eyes" and it occurs to me that might have been yours. That's a very tricky OS to work with and that was a very, very well done piece. OK...it's coming back to me..."Crash..." and then it was about the current financial meltdown. I intended to try and do a voice-over of it, but I've been very busy at work lately and haven't done any voice-over stuff in a couple months now. Yeah, I gush and go on. Anyway, I really appreciate your comments here. Gotta get back to work...Thanks!
