The Lyrics

With thanks to Martin Willett for the inspiration for this one :-)
World wide web is slowin' d-down (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
All those great big pix around (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Started fast, but now it's slowed (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Reckon I'll die 'fore it downloads (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)

This is my net connection
This is my net connection, baby

I think dial-up's f-f-stuffed (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
50kBaud - ain't enough (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Need a little firewall p-protection (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my n-n-n-net connection (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)

This is my net connection
This is my net connection, baby

Why don't I get something f-f-f-fast as hell (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
T3 pipe or DSL (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Lookin' for a web resurrection (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my n-n-net connection (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)

This is my net connection
This is my net connection, baby

This damn file ain't comin' d-down (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
With pop-ups popping all around (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Superhighway's nuttin' but a B-road (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)
Yeah, I'll die 'fore it downloads (Talkin' 'bout my net connection)

This is my net connection
This is my net connection, baby

If you can believe it...at my last job, all of us shared one line for dial up internet...(i.e. only one of us could be online at a time) which we also shared with the fax. It was H-E-L-L!!! Not to mention the slowest connection of all time...

Thanks for reminding me how GLAD I am not to be there anymore! 555, Phil!

As a dialup user on a fixed income (DSL way out of my range)...that song could very well be my online theme! Two thumbs WAY up!

Good one Phil, sounds like we all have the same bl**dy net connection! Arwen, that must have been fun for you!

If by "fun" you mean "Infuriating enough to make my work buddy actually punch the fax machine closed fisted," then yes, Pip...it was a ball! =)

Pretty funny stuff here. 5-5-5. :) I'm sure we all hate it when something fails to load on the net; I know I do. Yesterday I couldn't get on the net at all. My work was more important anyway. Speaking of which, I'd better get back to it. ;)
