The Lyrics

This song is the most autobiographical parody I've done. It details my travels to places such as Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia, PA; Wildwood, NJ; and Daytona Beach, FL - the one catch is that I have "never been to Maine" (or any of New England, save for Fairfield County, Connecticut).
Well I’ve never been to Maine
But I’d like to catch a lobster
The scenery’s amazing
And the folks don’t act like mobsters
They don’t abuse it
Mainers don’t know how to lose it
I can’t refuse it (how about that)?
I’ve been to Philadelphia
But I just can’t stand the Eagles
And I’ve been down to Wildwood
Where I’ve heard the crazy seagulls
Can you feel it?
It must be real
It feels so good
Oh, feels so good
Well, I’ve never been to Trenton
But now I don’t want to go there
I think I passed around it
And that’s one thing I can remember
I’ve been to Daytona
But not Phoenix, Arizona
What does it matter?
What does it matter?
I’ve never been to Maine
But I really want to go hiking
The coastline is insane there
And the roads are good for biking
Folks don’t abuse it
Mainers just don’t ever lose it
I can’t refuse it, heck no
I’ve never been to Trenton
But Washington, D.C.’s exciting
I stayed over in Virginia
Everybody seems inviting
I’ve been to Daytona, but never Arizona
What does it matter?
What does it matter?
(J.C.: Maybe the next time my friend Katie tells me she’s going to Maine, I’ll ask if I can join her).
If anyone is from the state of Maine, suggest this as a song to lure tourists.
