The Lyrics

This was inspired by hearing the full story of how Mythbusters got Buster, their first crash test dummy, and hearing another parody of this same song. I thought I could do it, so I did.
Buster was a dummy from a US government lot
Bought for some show on Discovery, for their Wednesday primetime slot
The deal was made so as to not have myths that risked a man
So they sat him on a toilet and then they blew the can

Out the gates of that first season, he'd taken every lump
Every episode save the fourth one, earned at least one lump
From cell phones and gas stations to barrels full of bricks
He took abuse to find the truth and to sort it all from the myths

Buster the crash test dummy
Buster the crash test dummy

His comrades stood beside him as that first season shone
But of all the crash test dummies, Buster stood alone
So the Hammer Drop myth beckoned, and the show went on its way
They crossed their fingers and smashed him against the San Fran bay

Buster the mangled crash test dummy
General Motors' greatest son
They would still build him up again to carry on the fight
Adding poplar bones that snapped just like a man's
Adding poplar bones that snapped just like a man's

Buster would see action as Mythbusters hit the books
He found himself the front line, taking whatever it took
From catapults to rocket chairs, he'd been blown up near and far
And on very rare occasions, would be in crashing cars

Buster the mangled crash test dummy
Buster the mangled crash test dummy
Buster the mangled crash test dummy
Buster the mangled crash test dummy

The eternal crash test dummy
Was destroyed when it all stopped
Now it's almost five years later, but his legend can't be topped
With two new hosts, with children too, with cars on Motor Trend
Where there's pain, he'll rise again, instead of you, a dummy buys it

Aw man, it's been SO LONG since I heard the OS! And this one's based off one of my favorite shows of all time, too! Here's 555 tons of twisted metal and C4 for ya!
