"Cocoa, Moe!"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Cocoa, Moe!

A bruiser, an acher, ooo I wanna shake ya.
Contusions, I harm ya, in this petty drama.
I must show my ego, every time on the show.

We are off the set, please,
Cool it—have some cocoa, Moe!
It'll help you relax, get away from it all.

Bodies must be slammed!
I think that I'll give you a backhand!
First I'll take off my glove;
I'll give you one in the gut—Bam!

Have some cocoa, Moe!

A bruiser, an acher, ooo I wanna shake ya.
Contusions, I harm ya, in this petty drama
I must show my ego, every time in the show.

Oh, I do wish you would take some cocoa, Moe!
I'll make it fast,
And then you drink it slow.
Don't let your anger grow.
Sip down that cocoa, Moe!

Oh, I should tweak your gnarly, twisted beak.

Let me put out some tea.
Oops, that's caffeine chemistry!
Why'd I do that? You'll hit me in a body cavity.

I take great delight
In blocking out your sight
When I poke you in the eye. . .
Gives me an optical-contact high

Have some cocoa, Moe!

A bruiser, an acher, ooo I wanna shake ya.
Contusions, I harm ya, in this petty drama.
I must show my ego, every time on the show.

Oh, I do wish you would take some cocoa, Moe!
Has tryptophan.
And then you drink it slow.
Don't let your anger grow.
Sip down that cocoa, Moe!

Punch and pinch. I will not give an inch.

I can't take the blows!
Have a little cocoa, Moe!
If you could just go slow
You'd get away from it all
By drinking cocoa, Moe!

John, 5's, although maybe you should have put an small "pre-comment" intro to indicate it was about the 3 Stooges. I really wasn't sure until I got to the line about "tweaking your gnarly beak". I really didn't connect at first because I didn't really remember all the round-house gut punches Moe delivered. I guess he often started with that. I recalled more of the butt-kicking, tripping, head-slapping and nose-twisting stuff.

Thanks, Paul, and good point. Prob'ly also should have made it clearer that there are a couple of voices here, as opposed to the single voice of the original tune.

I'm not a Stooges fan, but (shameless plug alert) as the author of "The Ballad of John's Hot Cocoa," I knew I was gonna like this once I saw the title. Setting a broken nose: $200. Ambulance service: $45. A line like, "Oh, I -- should tweak -- your gnarly, twisted beak," especially if you imagine it breathily sung by the ill-named Mike Love of the Beach Boys -- priceless.

Oh, I see... I thought this was a Simpson's thing. (Isn't Moe the bartender on that show?)
