The Lyrics

Original song on YouTube
Guys were dumb but really smarties
Knuckleheaded, nitwit stories
Stooges came and poked out eyes again
High-baloney vaudeville fun
Was enjoyed by Dad and Mum
Sometimes unemployed but picked up work for change

They commanded on the com’dy throne
Were locked in slapstick style zone
Ever strove for jokester cackles at the pain
For a better life they strived
Three to bed in sleazy dives
But I’ll tell you, Junior: don’t hear them complain

You Moe be right
Why, Curly’s crazy
And it’s just those two with Larry Fine, I leaned toward
Shemp din’t seem right
Curly-Joe? Save me
And he was wrong, that single Joe
But first three were right

“I’ll moider ya” – is crowned with stare
And thrown in with a manic glare
They told no dirty jokes to make me smile
“Say, wake up and go to sleep”
Belly-ached at those black sheep
'Cause the boys deployed some madness that’s worthwhile

Now think of all their jeers and snide too
Trine dumb chumps to gratify you
“Why I oughtta” - “Oh, a wise guy, hey?”
If as lamebrains they’re construed
Then that soit-enly is true
Would be less than poi-fect any other way

You Moe be right
And they be crazy
But switched on to find the Stooge-a-tics I yearn-ed for
They berate and fight
They debate bird-brainly
You mix headstrong with much gusto
Then you Moe be right

You Moe be right
Wry guys were lazy
Though I laughed with glee at imbeciles I looked upon
Don’t like? Your plight!
Ah, now’t, there’s to save ye
Careers were long so nyuk nyuk nyuk
They’re sure alright

Now PC-wrong, but they hit the heights
They may seem wrong but you Moe be right

(Repeat with Curly whoop-whoop-whooping in circles on the floor...)

This was such a hoot! Probably my favorite parody by you guys! Love the Stooges and I love how you were able to sneak in so many different Stooge references here that it was fabulous!

Best Stooge tribute since The Curly Shuffle!

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!

Well I have it on good authority that Merry "really hates" the Stooges so my birdbrain tells me this is mostly/ all the work of Pip. Great job; worked in a ton of references, which I have no idea how I caught, since the Stooges were forbidden in my house growing up (too violent! Nyuk! Nyuk!)

Yes, I agree Claude, this looks like 99% Pippin, because as Sam from Cheers pointed out, women don't get the stooges. But I do, and I miss those knuckleheads, and for the 5 minutes of reading I didn't, because it all came back Pip - the soitenlys, the why I oughtas, Curly's nyuk nyuks - every afternoon I'd watch them after primary school - they invented a whole genre didn't they? - I'm starting to agree with Matty that this is one of my faves by you one, er two. 555
Oh a wise guy, huh? - March 30, 2018 - Report this comment
This is beyond over the top. You guys nailed this one, though I agree with Claude that you, Pip likely wrote most of this, but I may be right, not likely wrong. I actually saw the stooges when I was a kid when they ended their selected short subjects in theaters and began road tripping across country. You nailed their New York Jewish accents 'poifectly' and I'd say that was great for someone from 'dun unda'. My take is that this is the best parody in the round. Please don't mind the nom de plume. Turn about is fair play since you guys went years hiding your true identity. I'm just doing what you two did. I like to play. Keep up the great work! You 'moidered' this. "Nee Ya, Nyuk"

Like Stu with Friends I'm totally out of the loop with this one - I get that it's about The Stooges because of trivia I've picked up here and there over the years - but I've never really seen it.

My first thought before reading was the Simpsons. Didn't see a lot of the 3 Stooges as a kid. Always thought they were Moe, Curly & Iggy. LOL at “Now PC-wrong”. Everything seems to be “Now PC-wrong”! Everything said seems to trigger some overly sensitive nutcase who I’m supposed to take seriously.
