The Lyrics

NO, this is not a commentary on the Italian political system. Rather, this is a tribute to the Italian horror movies of the 70s and 80s, a number - but not all - of which fall into the category of "giallo" (EN: "yellow"), which refers to horror movies with a mystery element. See if you remember any of these films, enjoy the parody, and Happy Halloween! DKTOS?
In the land of Italy,
They have some real shockers,
Celluloid images of blood and gore.
Motion pictures infernal,
Like “Zombie” and “Demons”,
When you see them, you might scream “NO MORE!”

“Star Wars” has nothing
On “Don’t Torture a Duckling”,
Or “City of the Living Dead”.
“Suspiria”’s showing,
“The Beyond”’s all-knowing,
These films just won’t get out of your head!

“Who Saw Her Die?” in “Blood and Black Lace”?
Tell me why “They Have Changed Their Face”!

[guitar solo]

“The New York Ripper”
Is feeling so chipper,
The last confrontation begins.
“Cannibal Ferox”
It chips off the old blocks,
It might just get under your skin!

“Slaughter Hotel” puts you through hell,
You’ll find out how “Death Occurred Last Night”!

In “The Bloodstained Shadow”,
You gotta “Strip Nude For Your Killer”,
Or else you are not qualified
To dive in “Deep Red”.

A “Plot of Fear”’s unleashed again,
Are you ready tonight?
You’ll live or you’ll die,
‘Cause “Death Steps in the Dark”.

Try to escape in these homicide films,
Or knife blades will tear right through you!
“Nosferatu” is a joke compared to all these,
At the end of these games, who will die, die now?

Italians love fear,
They love to cause screams with films so extreme!
Italians love fear,
Your mind will be scarred by scenes so bizarre!
Italians!

[another guitar solo]

Dario Argento
And Lucio Fulci,
They are but two of the masters.
“Inferno”’s burning,
“Red Rings of Fear” turning,
“What Have They Done To Your Daughters?”

“Eyeball” sees all, “Tenebrae” falls,
“A Blade in the Dark” strikes three times.

[slower guitar solo]

The screen will soon flood
With much gore and blood
In “Seven Blood-Stained Orchids”.
“A Bay of Blood” and “The Black Cat”
You won’t soon forget,
Are you satisfied with “Black Magic Rites”?

“Ratman”’s a bastard, “Spasmo” comes faster,
The screams of death are raw and loud,
Will you get far from where you are?

You scream and shout,
They’re telling you “Kill, Baby, Kill”!
Scream! Shout!
What’s “Beyond the Door”? Who knows?

[yet another guitar solo]

Try to escape in these homicide films,
Or knife blades will tear right through you!
“Nosferatu” is a joke compared to all these,
At the end of these games, who will die, die now?

Italians love fear,
They love to cause screams with films so extreme!
Italians love fear,
Your mind will be scarred by scenes so bizarre!
Italians love fear,
Your mind will be scarred by scenes so bizarre!
Italians!
Italians!
