Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

wasn't really too tall,
could've used some trees 'round
hyenas, and tigers around
he was a small horned mammal with big brown eyes
hid down in grass, not way up high
stayin low not way up high

out in the jungle where sit the lions ready
things to hunt moving by quite steady
workin in packs but at least they're in twos
stalkin all the tight gnus
trying to take out the weak and those amblin' through
working on the tight gnus it was dinnertime
it was near dinnertime

they weren't alone, oh no, far from it,
there were savanna beasts, all roaming there on it
there was dung and smells like a horse
grass was dry and gorse
they'd hide away every chance they could
tried to pretend they don't taste that good
they get 'et they run free
and greenpeace don't care
bout the slaughter out there..

stalkin all the tight gnus
trying to take out the weak and those amblin' through
working on the tight gnus it was dinnertime
it was near dinnertime
and oh I wonder
insides tightening
they were closing on another
stalking on another

woke last night to the sound of chewing,
and some heavy laboured mooing
started smelling the blood from one or two
there were now two less uptight gnus
while it don't seem fair, they always hunt gnus
strange cows, those tight gnus
with lions closing in

Good one Malcolm - I was almost afraid to read it tho' - wondering what you wanted gnus to be 'tight' for... :-O

Lord HiGUNS, are you a hunter, Sir? Many of your parodies contain mammals.

They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't wildebeest. (Yeah, I know, I've used that one before.) And the steel rails still ain't heard the gnus. (Haven't used that one!)
