The Lyrics

May the melody of this OS wash away your grief.

Throwing up the ‘horns’ Ronnie was a man of dark and light
Power vocal style delivered with force and might
And now that he's dead we all must say goodnight
And play the music he has left
We're have lost someone special cause his talents were so deft

Ronnie James Dio hasn't made his final stand
He's still performing living through his loyal fans
And in his life he really gave us all one can
Oh Dio Dio sing your heart out for the band

He founded Hear N Aid and worked for charity
He brought in many stars, who gave generously
Like a spokesman not a metal dude
But there's still more accolades we can include

His fame is sealed and the legend is the man
A 'Holy Diver' swimming through a sea of fans
And where he goes he really shows his talents grand
Oh Dio Dio blow your trumpet for the band

(bridge with trumpet solo not sax cause Ronnie played trumpet)

Hey now you, don't be sad
Cause he dearly loves you, yeah!
At the end of our lives, the angels arrive
His love is still alive, alive, alive
Now dry your tears, 'cause there is more to life
There's something, I know that you're grieving
I know there's something, just keep on believing

His name is Dio and his music is your chance
To hear his beauty go beyond all circumstance
And with his bass he still amazes all his fans
Oh Dio Dio play those low notes for the band

Ronnie James Dio hasn't made his final stand
You will still find him in the mem'ries of his fans
Oh Dio Dio sing your heart out for the band
From vallies in the south up to the promised land

(break down with trumpet)

Can't help but think that however well-written, Duran Duran will never make a fitting tribute to one of the Gods of Rock. But thanks for doing it, anyway... can't see him off without a "goodbye" in parody.

Even though I'm not really a major Dio fan, this was still very awesome. 555 (providing you substitute "thoughtful" for "funny")

A metalhead I am not, but I was saddened to hear about Dio's death. He was very influential to his genre, and he is in a better place now. My condolences to his family.
