The Lyrics

This ol' castle's getting boring,
There ain't no spinning wheels in sight.
To sleep would be best, but this spindle I must test,
I've got to try it out before tonight.

I called the house, the lady answered,
She took me to the spindle in her room.
I guess she snookered me, to tell the truth I just can't see,
I hit the floor and blacked out with a boom!

And the prince's kiss done woke me and he's really coming on, and
I'm much too old to look this damn young.
Now a banquet's on the table and our wedding will go on, and
I'm much too old to look this damn young.

The whole damn kingdom's getting merry,
Last century, you know I can't recall.
The good old fairy, Mr. Grimm, and Prince Charming and his men,
Seem to be the only friends I've left at all.

And my blonde hair's getting longer and the prince is moving on, and
I'm much too old to look this damn young.
His other woman's on my table, with no shame they're having fun, and
I'm much too old to look this damn young,
I'm much too old to look this damn young.

(AGES) Pretty clever song title sub. I don't understand what happened in the last verse.

Agri, let's just say Sleeping Beauty wasn't the only damsel Prince Charming fell in love with.--MM

I also don't understand what happened at the end..... It confused me a lot, good choice of OS though

i thought it was about that fairy tales are so old but the princess stays looking so young.i liked it 555

Tomario -- interesting idea, but in reality it is about the fact that Sleeping Beauty slept for 100 years, so she was a 16-year-old girl who in reality was 116 years old! Going by the Disney version, of course. ----MM

(AGES) Not my favorite by you either, but then again, I can only have so many favorites. . .I get the whole thing, didn't get lost, maybe if the OS wasn't so short I'd have enjoyed it more, but good effort.

(Ages) Clever! So Prince wasn't so Charming if he was going out with Sleeping Beauty AND Rapunzel, eh?
