Thanks, BAD. That and current fashion trends. I's always black - even at weddings. My cousin's wedding colors were shocking pink and black. It looked like a Hallowe'en party.
Great job, 2Eagle. I echo AFW's and B.A. Dave's comments, and I reversed tradition at the last wedding and funeral I went to: I wore black at a close friend's wedding and was the maid of honor to boot (how's that for defaming tradition?), and wore white at my grandfather's funeral. 5s.
Thanks, Andria. I'm so sick of seeing black - even on children. I prefer "Scarlett O'Hara dresses in easter egg colors" as one fashion commentator disparagingly put it. Slinky black Morticia Addams dresses with plunging necklines just aren't for weddings. as the security code says no, MAM.

Thanks, BCGR. Black on children does look strange. When I was little kids just didn't wear black - it was strictly for grownups. Now you see black on little kids and teenage girls wear clingy black dresses with plunge necklines to the prom.
