Parody Song Title:

"Satirical Squirrel"

Parody Written by:

Lionel Mertens

The Lyrics

Winter's nearing, nut's for storing
He hides them away
If he don't use them, yellow Post Its
He'd forget each place

Some nuts go here, some nuts go there
It's a bushy tale
If he don't dig down, he won't get by
After winter's gale

He don't beg and he don't plead *
But some can't see what's up, that's nuts
"Cause the squirrel with the, walnut stash
Is mocking Mister Putz, "cause we are

{Chorus:}

Living in a must help your self world
And he's a provisional squirrel
You know he's winking at the entitlement world?
"Cause he's a satirical squirrel

Some squirrels fly and some squirrels climb but
I don't think they play
Only squirrels who pack their pantry
Live on winters stay, 'cause he's out

{Alt. Chorus:}

Working with the most bushy bright tail
Like he's an admonishing squirrel
You know that he is jeering those with a "woe is me" tale
"Cause he's a satirical squirrel

Winking like a satirical squirrel [satirical]
Working like the most typical squirrel
(repeat)

Squirrels in trees and squirrels on roads
And that's what Geico sees
Your insurance has made you bitch
Curb high monthly fees, "Cause everybody's

{Alt. Chorus:}

Driving this unpredictable world
And here comes a road obstacle squirrel
You know where you're heading in this ridiculous world
And darn those maniacal squirrels

A maniacal, a satirical, a maniacal, a satirical squirrel

Dashing like a maniacal squirrel [maniacal]
Looking like the most typical squirrel
(repeat and fade)

* At least in the wild the don't

"Squirrel" is such a handy parody word, isn't it? Fives for the title alone!

I found the concept to be good (and the verses were pretty funny), but found the pacing to be absolutely terrible as if Fitu Petaia had written this. 2-3-3.

Dear Jason, I've read your parodies, especially most recent parody submission of row row your boat. It had terrible pacing. So I really don't see why your getting all pius on me. Your pacing was so off on that parody it was unbelievable. So do me a favor and cool your jets.

Do you really pronounce it "squirl" or is it just handy for parody rhyming? either way, this was fun...weird, but fun. 555

Dear Lionel Mertens. I stand by what I said about your parody. I do know the original song very well and I tried to sing your parody to the original tune, but it just does not match the pacing very well. The content is funny, but I found the pacing not to be very good. Im not saying your parody is bad, in fact I quite liked it minus the pacing. Anyway thanks for 555s on my Tears For Fears parody.
