Parody Song Title:

"We Autotune"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

If it's a crime
Then where are the prison walls
When a song needs to sound better than sung
If the vocal's dying
Well, it's no crime to bring it back to life
With autotune installs

When chants are off
And singing's not okay
Then somehow, software is used to change the strains
It's now a part of thee music industry
But for Billy Joel, mics are all he needs

We autotune
We are producers
We are the ones who'll fake a higher range
With vocal boosters
If a voice needs changing
We're cranking up our dials
Yes it's true we'll make a fighter plane, fly by in key

( swooosh! - - - > )

Oh, sing out your parts
For, the saftey net is there
If your lines should be slightly off key
Com-pu-ters help us by changing notes gone bad
Now anyone can front a feckless band

We autotune
We are pitch shifters
We are the ones behind the concert stage
At Taylor Swift tours
If Cher's voice needs lifting
We're cranking on our dials
Yes, it's true we'll make the average ape, sing harmony

If you're flat or sharp, and you sing the notes out wrong
Then think of Cher's 'Believe' and autotune your song
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! When you vocalize
And find your range is over run
Now you can sound better at once, yeah, yeah, yeah

We autotune
We need correctors
We are the ones who need the software aids
To sell our re-cords
If a voice needs changing
We're cranking on our dials
Yes, it's true we'll make Alfalfa's hay
Sound Morrisey

We autotune
We fix acoustics
Most aren't like Ju-lie Andrews in her film:
The Sound of Music
If a voice needs changing
We're cranking on our dials
Yes, it's true they're not no Patty Page
Who sings in key

We autotune (we autotune)
We fool our listeners (we fool our listeners)
We are the ones who need a wider range
And higher timbre (and higher timbre)
If our voice needs changing
Then we're cranking on the dials
Yes, it's true we can make a donkey's bray
A melody

Oh, let me hear you!

We autotune
We sing its praises
We are the ones who need its saving grace
In certain places
When our voice needs changing
We're cranking on the dials
Yes, it's true we aren't no Marvin Gaye
Who sang in key

We autotune
We need assistance
We are the ones with the finite range
Like ol' Bob Dylans
If our voice needs changing
We're cranking on the dials
Yes, it's true we're not no Dorris Day
Who sang in key

You can smell what I'm cookin';
I'll save your franchise, make money, no problem!
You all recognize my voice, my bod!
But in one respect, I'm kinda flawed:

I can do anything except sing;
Autotune couldn't get me on track.
I'll be president someday; still, I can't sing,
But who else pulls off a fanny pack?
