OOH, that reminds me, I better submit my parody of a similar subject. One of my earlier ones too. Anyway, back to this song. Well, the vocabulary is outstanding, I must say. The pacing on its own is very outstanding, and if you do understand what the more obscure/advanced words mean, you can praise the excellent lyrics that follow. My first given 5! Now for humor, it's pretty good. A bit vial in some parts, but other times, it was really good. Only thing I'll complain about is that there isn't much going on in the song itself. I mean like I said, the vocab is astonishing, but there just needs something...happening in it. Hard to describe. Well, either way, I'll still give the song overall a nice 5. I just wish I could indicate that when I give 5, it doesn't mean perfect, but pretty high up.

This was a cleverly worded parody, sir. It is quite smashing to see such writing from ona as prolific on the site as you.
John Barry is *not* showing off. He has one of the largest -- probably THE largest - vocabularies of anyone here, and that is sometimes reflected in his parodies (even more so in the ones from a few years ago) and in his comments. It's quite natural to him.
