The Lyrics

i don't really like political parodies, but somehow was inspired to write a few. i think this will be the last one, at least for a while. more bush bashing, consider this the funny version of my american pie parody
Man's elected prez
I say why is he soft in the noodle now
Why is he soft in the noodle when
Oh, his ass is so hard
Always the photo opportunity
Each time without an exemption
He's just a loony warped toon in the D.C. toon yard
Bush Jr., Bush Jr.
Dork's in the White House
Far away vacant look in his eye
Mr. beer drinker, real stinker
Get that shrub away from here
Ya know, I don't find his crap amusing anymore

And if you vote for Dubbaya
Got a bridge to sell ya, pal
I'd rather have a parodist
Bob Rivers or Stan Freeberg or even Weird Al

Man's elected prez
I say why is he short of attention
Got a short little span of attention
And, oh, this war is so long
Like his wife and family
But I hope he dies soon
He's not my role model
His moral sense is all gone, gone
It ducked back down the alley with some
Texas inmate executionized
All alone, the bonehead
Insists there were no accidents
He denies those allegations*

And if you vote for Dubbaya
Got a bridge to sell ya, pal
I'd rather have a Bundy
Bud, Kelly, Buck, or Peggy, or, hey, even Al
Even Al

Man's elected prez
Now it's a strange world
Better than the third world
Not by much this time around
Doublespeak's his language
And lies his currency
He is a moron, man
He is surrounded by the clowns, clowns
The politicians in his face
The cattlemen and oil barons
He skirts around, around
All the issues in the legislature
Dodge them til infinity
He says hey man, the hell with ya

If you vote for Dubbaya
Got a bridge to sell ya, pal
I'd rather have a preacher
LIke Jesse Jackson, Farrakahn, or Sharpton, Al
Even Al
*as governor of texas, he executed more prisoners than any other governor in american history, and he has the arrogance to say that it's impossible that he executed an innocent man. i never heard him say "executionized", but it's something he'd probably say

Hmmm. Some parts look familiar.

Familiar as in some other parody? If not, it was a clever use of Simon's original lyrics. 555 from me. (look at my "I Am the W" for a look inside George's mind)

I was thoroughly enjoying until "I hope he dies soon." kinda put an unexpected morbid twist, a little harsh... but for the most part it was a good parody!
