Parody Song Title:

"Wax On"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

An activity for a real Macchio man.
Wax on, you must get ready for the big fight
Beatings are coming
You just have to listen to my tales tonight
Wax off, you just have to stand on one leg, right
Talk to me, I'm funny
Just don't make stupid jokes about my height

Wax on, you must get ready for the big fight
Wax off, you must get ready for the big fight
Train for the big fight, train for the big fight
Train for the big fight

You knew that they would bleed ya
The tough streets of Reseda
You must learn karate Daniel-san
So you won't get beat by other boys
So listen to my mottos
And Armorall my autos
Told you once in an accent
I don't really talk this way

Wax on, you must get ready for the big fight
Wax off, you must get ready for the big fight
Train for the big fight, train for the big fight
Train for the big fight

(Fade out with a very choppy beat)
The farther one travels, the less one knows..

5's. My wife and I saw Sting perform "Roxanne" at Walnut Creek in Raleigh NC several years ago - Sting was great, song was great, row of red stage lights that would flash-on during the chorus were tacky but appropriate.

Took me a second to realize what movie this was from. Good job again!

Rick D - Gave it all 5's although I don't know what movie everyone is referencing here (that cultural loop I'm way out of again). Did a work parody of this song when we had a fellow named "Chozan" in Tax Support a few years back. When there were more than 5 calls backed up in the queue a "red" light would show on each phone near the bottom (green if 1 or 2, yellow for 3 or 4). So I did "Chozan, you don't have to put out the red light. Answer calls for money, you don't care if they're wrong or if they're right. Chozan, you don't have to take that call right now, put yourself on "research", you don't care if they have a cow." etc., very popular within the department....

Love it. I had such a huge crush on Ralph when I was a kid!

555, especially for the Wackbirds title! (Paul R.--the film is "Karate Kid")

Agrimorfee - thanks for filling in a small blank in my rather large cultural vacuum. I figure if I keep inquiring I'll never have to actually watch any of these things to know what people are talking about.
