The Lyrics

The Original Song was generally known as the Stalker Song, well--I thought 'wouldn't it be interesting to turn that around 180 degrees and play the song from the point of view of the stalked instead of the stalker'. This song was easily the most fun to record of my Project 2 batch, and is one of my newest parodies. Happy New Years! Hear Every Call I Make free! (The Changes from You've to You'll throughout the song are intentional)
Every Call I Make
Every Piss I Take
Every Unpaid Break
Every Day I Wake
You've Been Watching Me

Even When I Play
I'm in Disarray
You are like a Stray
Everywhere I Stay
You'll Be Watching Me

Oh Can't You See
That You're Scaring Me
Why Can't I Escape
From the Pics you Take

Every Site You Make
Every Law You Break
Every Time I Shake, You Are At My Gate
Cause You're Watching Me

Since You've Come, I've Been Scared to Wash My Face
I Once Made Love and Found a Pic on Your MySpace
I Called the Cops and They Could Not find a Trace
I Think You're Nuts, To Your Family You're A Disgrace
I Keep Begging, Leave Me, Leave Me -- Please. . . .

I Beg of Thee
Please Stop Stalking Me
How My Pride does Break
With Every Shrine You Make

Every Friend I Make
Is a New Mistake
Every Time I Stake
Every Time I Bake
You'll Be Watching Me

If I'm on a Date
or I'm with my Mate
You'll Be Watching Me

You'll Be Watching Me

You'll Be Watching Me

Why You Stalking Me?

Please Don't Follow Me

Eh-heeeeeee

Can't Escape from Thee!

Why You Watching Me?????
Please note over the several last lines in the original, variations of the two choruses played in the background, I spared typing those out as they have already been parodied and they aren't part of the lyrics--I parodied them throughout the song and the actual singer's lyrics are the ones I parodied. This song is on My Soundclick.com Page along with all the others which have appeared here on AmIRight. This obviously was my last entry for the year, I'm thinking it's probably also the one I should consider as my first entry for SOTM consideration. . .comments on this or my other major contenders would be greatly appreciative, and I would return the favor. . .my other contenders in addition to "Every Call I Make" are. . . Chubilicious (Bootylicious by Destiny's Child) Yahoo! (Celebration by Kool and the Gang) Psychology (Hey Jealousy by The Gin Blossoms) Crazy for Chips (Crazy in Love by Beyonce) & Careless Hook Ups (Careless Whisper by George Michael) Of course I haven't really axed any song I posted, but those ones are my most creative in my opinion--opinions on any of my songs (since everything I've posted here thus far has been this month) would be great. . .thank you and good luck in the New Year, I will be taking your opinions seriously on each song to weigh them against each other, also to know what songs to use to announce the Grand Opening of my website sometime next year--a personal site about my parodies and parodies by friends. . .hopefully which can include some of you who I am slowly befriending "internet-wise".

I liked this. Seemed like an "inverse" of the OS, but great all the same. Happy new year to you Sir
Ann Hammond - December 31, 2006 - Report this comment
Not only do I like this, but the OS is in my brain radio so my ears should be able to pick this up.
Red Ant - December 31, 2006 - Report this comment
Like a Jason said, a good reversal of TOS. Good recording, too, Dave.

SOTM - I'd say nice twist on the original but the word "nice" somehow feels displaced considering the content! ;-)

Good recording too though I must confess that it gave me kind of a creepy feeling to hear it sung by a guy, I've always imagined Sting stalking some woman, maybe you could have your wife or girlfriend sing it the next time you have lyrics like this, or claime in the intro that it's from the wievpoint of some young boy stalked by Wacko Jacko! (And if so, sample same horror screams from "Thriller" and sneak them into the recording, bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha). :-)

I had the same idea a little while back, I was about to write it, then forgot what I was going to write. Great job jogging my memory with your version of the same idea!

(SOTM) Pretty good concept, pretty good execution. You are above average, Dave!
Chris Bodily TM - January 14, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) What a great twist on TOS! I have never looked at this song from the stalked person's perspective before, but it was a great idea with an even funnier execution. The pacing was spot-on, too. Sting should be very proud. 555
Michael McVey - January 25, 2007 - Report this comment
Good, except that I would expect the stalk-ee to react with a lot more anger. Definitely a good revision of the original.----MM

(SOTM) See above. "You are like a Stray" was my favorite line. I listened to the recording again, and I'm still impressed by it.
Cat - January 26, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yeah, I think it's kinda ironic since Sting himself described the OS as a "stalker song!" The capitalized words kind of hurt my eyes (just a thought) but other than that, I liked it. But I was wondering, what kind of freak likes watching people pee?!
bobpiecheese - January 26, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) All the capitals looked kinda weird, but the parody itself (the whole point) was brilliant!
Johnny D - January 27, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Hey, great job!!

(SOTM) this is great, B.A. Dave - I loved "I Once Made Love and Found a Pic on Your MySpace" and the whole thing paces perfectly, which shows you're an old hand at this - great to see a new face in SOTM too, so I hope you keep competing ;-)
Kristof Robertson - January 29, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I concur with other comments: very similar in theme to the OS, but a hell of a lot funnier. Keep em coming, Dave! 555
Tim Mayfield - January 30, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) That's no stalker, that's paparazzi!! Very funny!
Phil Alexander - January 31, 2007 - Report this comment
You could call this the "Kate Middleton" song, to be topical :-) Lots of fun, BAD (say, had you thought of a "Bad" parody about your acronym?)

SOTM - Creepy that I read this so close to the announcement of the arrest of Nicole Kidman's alleged stalker (on an unrelated charge though). Actually ... the whole thing's pretty creepy. Good job on it, creepy works well.

Hmm. . .actually Phil, no, but I should certainly consider it:) Thank you everyone, and I know I didn't get any points, but it was stiff competition. . .and I did metal last month in the less than classy Gross Out Competition, so I guess I'm good at gross things. Thank you wmj, yes creepy is a good word to describe both this version and the original, precisely why I wrote it. . Tim Mayfield, I was told by some other artists on the messageboard that you have recorded songs too, have you heard of the AmIRight station I host on Soundclick? If you are there let me know and I'll add ya. Stu, you are a very reassuring person, I think I'll take you up on that offer, and thanx for the comments too Cat, LOL, scarily, there are sites devoted to the subject of people who watch others well, yeah, it's scary and believe it or not the all caps were by accident. . .I type faster than I read so sometimes I hit shift thinking it's the beginning of another line, when I typed this one of the paper I was tired:) Red Ant, this song has been my most consistent performer since it's release, it's the only song other than the just released Squinting in the Dark that has never had a zero, I guess that means it was a good recording. . .it means a lot coming from you. I would respond to every comment, but I will suffice by saying thank you everyone and I look forward to next month's comp.

Great stuff... 5-5-5 for you. I also like how you varied each stanza, giving a broader selection of words than in the original.

(Artistry) This was one of the first of your tunes I read, Dave, and I like it even more this time around...you really did twist the concept well, and each line of the bridge was a good giggle.

(Artistry) I bet Sting has had his share of these. Good job.
