Well I’m so weak because I lack tenacity
Black text swims before me ‘cause I’m so hungry
Staring at the screen, sitting and praying
I can get myself together for as long as I need to be
For hours I’ve been in my dorm room
I know it’s all my fault I have this work to do
Yesterday why couldn’t I see
That the next day this work would really make me sorry

See now I have to sit and think
Stare at the screen, without a blink
Have strength like Superman
Sandwich crusts left in my dish, man it was bliss
Satisfied me
But that was hours ago and now I want food again
Really gettin’ tired, don’t wanna look at the time
Tell myself I’m fine
Printing so much the ink’s starting turn blue
Think I might throw a hissy fit
Think maybe I’m done soon, but I check the assignment,
and find that it’s not really true
Tell myself that I deserve a break
But then I find my printer breaks
To print an essay I have to ask my roomie for a favor
It pains me to know, I’m missing a good television show
Doesn’t matter ‘cause the going’s slow
Writing essays is so tedious,
Wastes all my paper

How can I help it if I don’t care that my grade is bad
As long as the work’s done then I’m glad
There’s no way I’m ever gonna use this material
Why are professors so mean?
They must get a thrill
Out of taking advantage of the naïve
And making their students feel like dirt
