Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

You have to pronounce Socrates wrong, Sow crate EEz for this to work
Blame it all on my roots
Corrupting the youth
don’t recognize the gods by the state
If I left Athens right now
I’d be such a coward
Why did you think
That I would escape
And I saw the surprise
And the tears in your eyes
That’s why I sent all the women away
And I toasted you
Said, Crito, I may be through
But you'll never hear me complain
It’s the Trial and Death of Socrates
With the leering crowds
And the jury deliberates my fate away
And I'll be okay
I’m real big on open questions
Think I'll sip on down this tasty beverage
At the Trial and Death of Socrates
Well, I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
Because that is what Government is for
Everything's all right
I'll just say goodnight
I’ll walk around and then lay on the floor
Hey, I didn't mean
To cause a big scene
Just give me the hemlock and then
Crito, we owe a cock to Asclepius,
And don’t you forget!
It’s the Trial and Death of Socrates
With the leering crowds
And the jury deliberates my fate away
And I'll be okay
I’m real big on open questions
Think I'll sip on down this tasty beverage
At the Trial and Death of Socrates
It’s the Trial and Death of Socrates
With the leering crowds
And the jury deliberates my fate away
And I'll be okay
Well, I’m real big on open questions
Think I'll sip on down this tasty beverage
At the Trial and Death of Socrates
It’s the Trial and Death of Socrates
With the leering crowds
And the jury deliberates my fate away
And I'll be okay
Well, I’m real big on open questions
Think I'll sip on down this tasty beverage
At the Trial and Death of Socrates
It’s the Trial and Death of Socrates
With the leering crowds
And the jury deliberates my fate away
And I'll be okay
Well, I’m real big on open questions
Think I'll sip on down this

So, this time I know the subject, but not the song. OBTW, I recognize the title "Lion Witch and The Wardrobe" That book was around our house when I was a kid, as well as the Narnia series. I just never picked it up.
