The Lyrics

Although some of the details are certainly specific to my situation, I think anyone who has ever worked for 8 different bosses who don't have a clue what you really do...but still want to tell you how to do your job...can relate to this song...
So tired of staff meetings
They're just a waste of time
Annoying things are said
I wish I were dead
I'm telling you, I walk in there filled with dread
What? Are we dumb and blind?
We've only closed ten thousand times
What makes it oh so hard to see?

I cherish the thought
Of just coming here and working all day
And oh, I would cherish the joy
I'd feel if I could just once get my way
But there's no havin' it
Cherish my friends
They keep me sane as I'm going through it
But baby I'd perish the thought
Of ever leavin'; it won't make me quit

Bosses can't be satisfied
When I know what I'm doing
They can't hide their doubt
They wanna figure it out
Even though they have no clue what it's all about
Marketing, Data Control
They never feel this way, I know
Because their bosses let them do their thing

I cherish the thought
Of just coming here and working all day
And oh, I would cherish the joy
I'd feel if I could just once get my way
But there's no havin' it
Cherish my friends
They keep me sane as I'm going through it
But baby I'd perish the thought
Of ever leavin'; it won't make me quit

Oooh
You
Con't get your way, they won't let you
Oooh
You
Don't know what they want you to do
Cherish is the word I'd use
To describe that day
My way...

I cherish the thought
Of just coming here and working all day
And oh, I would cherish the joy
I'd feel if I could just once get my way
But there's no havin' it
Cherish my friends
They keep me sane as I'm going through it
But baby I'd perish the thought
Of ever leavin'; it won't make me quit

I have second-hand knowledge of these experiences from family. I hate it when they change management and shift days round.

Tell me about it! That was the problem..when you've been working at your job 3 times longer than your boss...she should probably let you freaking do your thing...
