"If They Ever Lose The Bees Out There"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Based on a true story. Some bees escaped from the beekeepers and were going all over the road.
The beekeepers keep their bees in big hives in large fields
You could say they're responsible for a lot of stuff
If one day they had no sense of direction
Yeah, let the bees too free, sat on their duffs

If they ever lose the bees out there
Well I think that we would really care

Well one day they went and lost them and they flew free
Heard it on the radio then I watched it on tv
You could say I couldn't believe at just what I'm seeing
It's a giant extreme swarm of bees

Yeah they went and lost the bees out there
They went stingin', got in people's hair
Ow, ow

They could be lost for miles and miles on the highway
And it could be for a long time, we need some spray

It was a messup of the dumb beekeepers
I didn't live there, drove through, think that they're cursed
I never saw no bees in my direction
But the news always ends up saying it's worse but
I'll get bugspray first

They just went and lost the bees out there
They just went and lost the bees out there
Don't know what happened but that's so rare
Don't know what happened but that's so rare

It's strange how they lost the bees
It's strange how they lost the bees
It's strange how they lost the bees
So strange how they lost the bees, ow ow

A honey of a parody, so good that it gave me hives. I heard they were looking for an Esso (the old name for Exxon) gas station. This proves that there are always some "Esso bees" in every outfit! ;D

I wear a " B" keeper on a daily basis, Sir ! !

You already know that I'd prefer more subs in the last two verses, and DK. etc. , but just the inspired idea of using "Sting" for a bee parody is Five-worthy. LOL!

Thanks Ribber, B-Lady, and TT. TT, I already changed the lines every time it appeared in a new chorus, so it has far more variety than the original.

Nice job, PN! Echo the Turtle on the inspired pick. Lots of pollen floatin' round these parts...

Thanks Warren.

Phil, that's progress in TT's book, for whatever that's worth. And while my eyes aren't what they used to be, it still looks like the last two verses, as mentioned, repeat two lines once each and one line three more times.

I have a song for today (Wednesday) whose ending chorus repeats the same phrase *twelve* times before fading into incoherent overlapping. I kept the first one, and found meaningful subs for the other eleven. Maybe they're good subs, maybe not, but it shows where I'm coming from, for whatever that's worth. And I did think of our discussions while writing. See what you think. It's all cool!

In the interest of accuracy: Just re-listened to video, and actually, you can make out all 36 repetitions of that final main phrase. However, after a dozen, I'd think we'd all had enough (of both OS and subs) . ... anyway, three should be easy (wink) . Cheers!
