The Lyrics

Parody #2 of the 25 Parodies of Christmas Challenge. Based on the Bing Crosby version of the classic carol.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just not on my shoulders or scalp
Where the dandruff congregates before falling
Upon my clothing like snow

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
And of wearing my L.B.D.**
Because of this I probably should
Switch shampoos and conditioners stat

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Where my coat hood’s the only hat
I find myself sporting, although I do like
Some hats I wear now and then

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Like what I see outside my window
But I must find me a shampoo
Other than the standard Selson Blue
* - French for "without"; ** - Little Black Dress

Catherine the Great of Russia was so outraged to discover the presence of dandruff on her collar that she imprisoned her hairdresser in an iron cage for three years to stop the news spreading.

Southernwood found in Europe if used as a hair rinse was said to combat dandruff and also olive oil soap and lime juice. In the 18th and early 19th century herbal medicines were used.
