The Lyrics

Just a short one this time!
DREAD: CHRISTMAS

I dread this time of year: Christmas.
I’m just a scrooge, I know, it’s sad.
With the endless singing,
And church bells ringing.
The whole thing drives me raving mad.

I’ve never liked this time: Christmas.
It never was my time of year.
You can stuff your turkeys and toys.
I can’t bear the laughter and the noise.

I dread this time of year: Christmas.
I’m just a scrooge, I know, it’s sad.
With the endless singing,
And church bells ringing.
The whole thing drives me raving mad.

I’ve never seen a nice Christmas.
It never was my time of year.
You can stuff your turkeys and toys.
I can’t bear the laughter and the noise.

Frankly, I always preferred the 4th of July. Weather is better. Christmas movies are all sadness, and illness and unemployment. No one plays "Jingle Bell Rock" on the radio in July.

ah your just a couple of scrooges! (the author even admits it!) but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't funny! 5's
