The Lyrics

I know this is last weeks news, and there has already been a parody or two covering it, but there's always room for one more, right?
Hank's just a memory,
He won't be back this fall
On, "Monday Night Football"
Shot off his mouth,
Went too far south,
"Foul," referee, would call
Won't miss him that much..

Hank's just a memory,
Kicked from the NFL,
Told him to got to hell,
More time for spends,
With "Rowdy Friends"
Brand new song, "See Ya'. Pal"
Won't miss him that much..

His tongue needed cotton, too rotten,
Like other celebs who were previous,
When interviewed, answered the devious,
And who buys these..apologies?

Hank's just a memory,
Obama playing golf,
Compared him to Adolf,
Strayed off his pace,
Another case,
Of that old "Foot In Mouth"
Won't miss him that much..

Won't miss him that much

Oh, it's not too late. People are still talking about Hank Williams, I'm sure. But so glad you came up with this one, even though it's last weeks news, but I'm still hearing that story on the news from my car radio, as well as from the Howard Stern show. Yeah, that Hank has no tact at all and doesn't realize he's offending with racial comments. But great satire, and 555's.

No way. Hitler was far more popular.

Good parody worth my 5s, but "Compared [Obama] to Adolf" is media spin. Hank said, "Obama playing with Boehner is like Hitler playing with Netanyahu". Consider the equation 15/3 = 20/4, which can be read as "15 is to 3 as 20 is to 4". It does not mean 15 = 20 or 3 = 4. Hank just meant that Obama and Boehner are worlds apart, and Hitler and Netanyahu illustrate that best .

Thanks, Barry...I sort of play the devil's advocate in writing most of these parodies...don't have a strong opinion either way. Your observation is probably true...but I guess incidents like this really only prove one thing...when one's in the public eye, and one values his paid position, one must always watch what they say.. happens to many, these days, it seems.

Hank II has always been a little controversial to a degree. I remember a TV movie about him featuring Richard Thomas ( yes! Good night, John Boy Walton! ). About the same time (winter 1984) he played in Columbus and man was he STONED. He tore up the stage (property destruction) after playing his set. There's been other incidents as well. It's one thing to criticize Obama and some things he's done + should've done but haven't (yet), and it's OK to question and slam his policies but why is it that the same terms are spouted out: terrorist, Muslim, socialist, Arab, Communist, Kenyan-born, Hitler, etc. Are some people too bashful to just say the "N-word"? Obama may be many things but has he exterminated 11 million for the crime of being born? That comparison cheapens the Holocaust and insults its dead and survivors. As for Netanyahu, he seems to have a marked hate and prejudice against Palestinians. He acts like a tinhorn and doesn't represent Judaism. And Boehner - he's an opposing Congressman but he has debated and compromised with Obama, which is good and is what democracy is all about. Comparing them 2 to Hitler and Netanyahu is ignorant at best - at worst it's stupid, juvenile, idiotic and downright offensive. A lot of people in America need to act their ages instead of their shoe sizes.
