The Lyrics

I must give credit to Dee Range, who, I see in checking "Search" has written an excellent one, called, "That's My Story"...consider this a sequel, or companion piece....
When your wife finds a thong
Where a thong don't belong
Labeled, "Lorrie"
One not her size at all,
But four sizes too small,
Your wife's "Dorrie"

Don't melt down
Keep your wits around
You're not divorce bound
Try to sound
Calm...and steady..
You're not trapped,
(Say) "It's a gift," unflapped
Sales clerk must've napped
And mis-wrapped,
The wrong Teddy..

Don't be nervous, or cough
You can still pull it off
..Make her sorry
Act upset, drop your eyes
Say she ruined your surprise
That's Your Story.

You're a creep,
And in doodoo, deep
But the stakes are steep
So, just keep
...On a' lyin'
All's not lost,
Losing dice aren't tossed
You're not apple sauced
Damn the cost!
..Go out buyin'

Act the lovesick buffoon
Though it's midnight or noon
...Take the sure way..
Off to Frederick's, go
So, she never will know..
..That's Your Story..

Could have been the second theme song for Robert Morse in the '67 flic, "A Guide For The Married Man" (first was done by The Turtles)... vividly describes that action, with some of your best wordplay... I thay, three Fiveth for thith thong.

I guess the moral of The Story is always pick a girlfriend whose name is only one letter different from your wife's... ;-)

crikey, this is as quality a day as we've ever had on amiright - brilliance upon brilliance - this makes you the king of spin AFW - with this deftness of lateral thinking, you could've gotten OJ off even - oh wait, they actually did that...

if the glove doesn't fit
then you ought to aquit
you're the jury...

I don't know what to say. 545. Oh, but I *can* say, as much as I enjoyed your parody, I can assure you I would never resort to infidelity in real life.

As Dr Laura says, "it's always best to keep your 'climbing over the fence' a locked secret, Sir ".
