The Lyrics

The following is based on a story, strange but 100% true: AmIRight veterans may remember a parodist named Billy Florio (along with his brother Michael) who have since left. Well, I am an active participant on the VH1 message board The Greatest (if you must know, I use the handle VerveFrog217 there, don't ask.) and I already knew Billy as bflorio12 on that board, so obviously I was pretty shocked to see his name here, and even more so when he told me that he was originally a frequent contributor to this site. Still one of the eeriest instances I've ever had on the Internet, which made me think: Is this great information superhighway of ours shrinking? And could this mean that I could easily get stalked in the future? This is the subject of the following Disney parody:
I see AmIRight's parodies of fame
Suddenly I spot a familiar name
Could it be? Surely, no–
The same Bill Florio?
It's a small 'net after all

It's a small 'net after all
Freakishly I do recall
This one instance–off-the-wall
Is the 'net TOO small?

Back at VH1, I hear Billy blare
That he did indeed write some song spoofs there
What a coincidence!
This destroys all my sense
It's a small 'net after all

Yes, it is a small, small 'net
Nervously I do regret
Any info you can get
On this shrinking 'net

Now I'm in my hiding place
Preparing my can of mace
If a stalker sees my face
You know...just in case

Fact: The 'Net's TOO SMALL! *runs away screaming*
Dedicated to paranoid freaks everywhere.

I won't ask, but Cats and Frogs don't seem compatible.

Definitely an interesting coincidence. Yes, Billy and Michael used to be a big part of AmIRight, and I miss their contributions. Before the SOTM, they used to co-ordinate the Semi-Annual AmIRight Awards. Anyway, good parody with a clever ending.

Ha! I wonder who left that ANT-icipator comment (Stuart or Matthias is my guess). That person is correct, you get 5s. Pacing and humor are irrelevant when parodying this song, anything is better than than the hell that is "It's A Small World". Oh, I was checking out to see if in fact the 1s-guy was stalking you.

Verve, wow...when was this parody submitted? (obviously after I took my leave of absence). I need to return to both amiright (or rather its inthe00s messageboard) and vh1. Thank you Verve, great parody. Keep your eyes and ears open for a return of Billy Florio (hopefully). I'll be around. Note: I would never have saw this if I wasnt just bored at work and googled my own name!
