The Lyrics

This was inspired by John McCain's recent ascent, but I found room for the other major candidates as well. Most of the barbs could target more than one. I strove to mimic Cole Porter's lyrics from the 1934 musical Anything Goes, and that limited what I could write.
I get no kick from campaign;
Hear all those calling to fill up that hall,
And telling those at each venue,
"Why, I get a kick out of you!"

I get no kick from plain-Jane
Hillary/Bill are bound still, sparring till
Those Bush tax cuts they ax, not renew.
Should I let old Slick Willie screw?

I get no kick from John's mane;
Piling too high makes that guy look so bi.
Ask him why he won't try new hairdo
That flies, not so thick, out of goo.

I get no kick from Hussein;
Barack will quack, "Put us back on the track",
Using jack-boots to take from the few;
But I fret he'll nick all of you.

I get a hickey each time I see
Grandstanders dare implore me.
I let their shtick flow; it's clear to me,
They obviously want to gore me.

I get no kick from McCain;
Endure his stiffness at events, but if
He gets sore and is miffed at his crew,
Then I'd better pick someone new.

I'll vet that hick Born-Again,
Preaching and teaching each creature is breaching
God's laws that he sought to include.
Am I set to kick out this dude!

I get a crick and a pain,
Hearing "Our foreman should not be a Mormon"
From sore men who don't have a clue.
That guy is my pick from this zoo.

I bet that Mitt can be fit for each situation that may hit us anew;
And yet he'll not e'er be bought by the lot
Of those lobbies that gobble and chew.
That's why I will stick with him through.
If you sing this in public and people drop money, keep it; but drop a note to me at bjmitchel@att.net .

Mr Mitt might do well with the Moslem vote here in NorCAL, and if he wins, the multiple wives can help make those house payments on those bad subPrime loans! A wife installed in every bedroom!!
