The Lyrics

JRR Tolkien, 1892-1973, Author of the "Lord of the The Rings" Trilogy. He's doing a little rant in this piece. Somebody finally writes a parody about him - and it's some jerk who hasn't even read any of the books...Dude - if you think life ain't fair, try 'death' sometimes...
I'm Tolkien, I wrote the "Rings"
I'm pissed "bout a couple things
my accommodations down here stink

Those Hobbits; turns out they're mean
They're lazy; won't serve me tea
Stuck with them for all eternity

Now I'm gettin' ragged in a parody
Being treated most disrespectfully
Crack-head elves; I think they are dissin' me
Wise-ass writer; "Rings", did not even read

Annoying; that uncouth lout
Does not know what I'm about
His ignorance of my work he flouts

(During the instrumental break the parody writer is telling bad "Rings" jokes in the background and the hobbits are guffawing where the saxophone solo parts go)

I'm loved so by all my fans
But this clown; he kicks my can
A brut; he writes with a heavy hand

A moron; of little wit
I tire of his bullsh*t
I do not enjoy this; not one bit

Now I'm stuck down here in the Middle Earth
Respect down here for me; seems there is a dearth
Tell this author I think that he's a jerk
Bet he thinks that elves look a lot like smurfs

I'm Tolkien; wrote "Trilogy"
Upset now; I'm really peeved
"Cause I'm dead I get no royalites

AFW - Yeah, me neither/ "Yes" on Old Fats, though...I'm thinking of taking him with me for some other parody adventures, he & I have had a lot of fun lately over here ~ ~ ~

Ain't that a shame. As he sowed, so now he reaps. How... precious.

Nice comment, Michael...OH...the last part reminds me, Mr. McPhisto did a parody of Tori Amos's "Precious Things" about LOTR called "Precious Rings" that is very well constructed...it's around here somewhere on the site...I can vouch for the pace and the other comments indicate he nailed the story characters...Hey! Got another "Fats" piece coming up tomorrow...I guess I'm ridin' with him this week...

Madness did this tune in the 'Take It Or Leave It' movie. Like the Fellowship of The Ring, they were less than the sum of their parts when one or two left.

Not bad, not bad at all. 555 I wonder what JRR's comments would be about Bakshi and P. Jackson's adaptations.
