So glad to see someone cover this tune today. Now I'm thirsty...for love...
Here's a "My Funny Valentine" joke...
So the female singer says to the keyboard player, Every night we do MFV the same way. Couldn't we change it up a bit ?
"Sure" he says. Why don't we change tempos three times during the first verse, leave out the last two measures of the bridge, and then sing the last verse 1/2 step higher.
She says, "That sound awfully difficult"
He says, "It shouldn't be...that's how you sang it last night !

Brings back memories. I believe someone bought the name and is churning out undrinkable swill. Ballantine made an India Pale that was quite good. . .just a memory now.
