Parody Song Title:

"Mom Was A Hoarder"

Parody Written by:

Airfarcewon

The Lyrics

Mom was a hoarder - in my younger days
Old clothes and piles of trash
Stacked cans of hash, and mayonaise
On tables and under - left no place to play
Mom was a hoarder - the terrible way

Me and my sister - were teased at our school
Cuz' we'd bring classmates home,
And they would roam - remarks were cruel
Our house a disaster - in bed, junk would lay
Mom was a hoarder - the terrible way

Times back then..just anten-na - no cable
Unlike the shows..today on tv
No high hat, a pack rat was the label
No one had heard of therapy..

Mom was a hoarder - a price she would pay
When it became the source
Of Dad's divorce - with him, we'd stay
Ironic, the outcome - on that fateful day
(Tho') Mom was a hoarder - she threw us away

Mom was a hoarder - but she threw us away

Expresses the dread of every heir who must "clean house" after the funeral. But in your case, apparently that's not your concern yet; maybe it's you who needs the therapy. I hope that your mom doesn't find this and hoard it on her hard-drive.

This is really good.

Excellent-555! My mom wasa hoarder and one Saturday my friend and I had to just clean-out the garage which was a disaster. I thought maybe 1 hr tops. Took 8 hrs with both of us. Thank God there was a school around the corner to dump all the trash in. We had to use a wheelbarrow! What a fire hazard! When she died, we cleaned the house and literally went back through a half-century of collected stuff!

Thanks, Barry, parody is fictional..my mom wasn't really a hoarder...but if I can't take the fifth, or drink it, I'd have to admit to being, not a hoarder, but maybe, a borderline pack mouse...certainly, no canyon living, like I see on tv...but I live alone and have a large home, so I save a little in one storage room. If I might make a self-analysis, probably a result of youthful hard times...and thanks, Porfle, appreciate it...and thanks, Rob..I've been in a few homes like that....

Great job here as usual, AFW. My mom was not a hoarder (but was a number of other things I will not mention here), I might be called one by some people due to collecting many things, but it's nothing like on TV. In fact I had to sell my store-display collection except for one 1970s Coke display used as storage in the garage and two antique cigarette machines so I would have 3 bedrooms here again... 5s.

Thanks, Andria - I guess a lot of people collect something, or other...Happy New Year
