Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The one they found came from far Southern ground;
many trappings he’d spurned before he’s crowned.

When the Argentine show he ran,
he cooked his own food in a pan.
He was a simple-plan man,
but now the Vati-CAN.

Still, he’s a shy Pope who’s got high hopes.
But stay shy can that guy as the high Pope?

It might be time for lettin’ go. . .
a new vestments show
now in the Vati-CAN.
Can he stay as he was, a humble man?

He is no Liberation fan;
says he don’t go for man-on-man. . .
keep the no-same-sex-banns ban.
And no priest a wo-MAN!

And just a guy Pope chanting high tropes.
But stay shy can he prized as God’s-guy Pope?

Many girls and boys givin’ thanks,
anointed is Frank;
Benny went on the lam
to Castel Gandolfo, not Notre Dame.

All Pontiff watchers’ joy, then swoon:
from that cloistered room came the words “Habem Pop!”
But that shy-guy shtik won’t fly at the top.
