Song Parodies -> "Cud's What Cattle Chew Chew"

Original Song Title:

"Chattanooga Choo Choo"

Original Performer:

Johnny Mercer

Parody Song Title:

"Cud's What Cattle Chew Chew"

Parody Written by:

Airfarcewon

The Lyrics

Every farm boy,
Knows cud is what the cattle chew chew
Grass from the pass
They eat and regurge the mass
As they enjoy
Some soy..they give their cud a chew chew
They'll grind it strong,
And chew it eight hours long..

You see 'em grazin' in the pasture
With a posture so fine
Mystique and quite unique
In the way that they dine..
Each cow has three tummys
To digest their yummys
Tho' they may look stupid,
Cattle are no dummys...

Watch 'em as their standin' at a stall in the barn
Lickin' up the protein added to their ground corn
Fat tongues will be rollin'
Digestively controllin'
What a "Cud-a-boogie"..Golly, Darn

Relaxed, are they,
And rarely suffer constipation
Cool, easy pace
No tension shows on their face..

Switchin' their tails
So often tangled and could use a comb
Their cud is what they chew chew.
In Ohio or Rome..

Cud's what cattle chew chew
In Ohio or Rome

Great take on a big band/swing song, AFW! This reminds me of Green Acres with the Milk Maker episode, in a way. Also, great take on livestock as well. Rounding up 555 cattle for you!

Sir L'Air de Farce, ~The Mighty Duke oEdge~ Yes, Lord Mercer was the King of American Lyrics: his Days of Wine & Roses ( Mancini, Composer) being my all time favorite !

Yes, LCC..."Days Of..." one of his best...I wrote a parody to it some years back...it's in the dusty archives...you can trace it by running, this original title thru.."Search"

Good job here, AFW, and I will give it 5s. BTW, does this OS have the same lyrics or at least similar, to the song of the same name performed by Tuxedo Junction in the 1970s? It's a disco song, but it's also called "Chattanooga Choo-Choo".
AFW - November 14, 2009 - Report this comment
Thanks, Andria...same song, same lyrics...probably just put a disco beat to it...and more recent recording, of course..

Sir L'AIR de Farce, Duke oEdge, how about the forgotten song, ~ SINCE I FELL FOR YOU~ , as sung by Lenny Welch ? those violins always make me sigh . . . .
