Parody Song Title:

"Somewhere There's A Home Depot"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This lawsuit really did get filed last week.
Somewhere there's a Home Depot
With big stalls
And with thrones to sit down on
When Mother Nature calls.

Someone at this Home Depot
Tried his luck.
And the rump from which this guy dumped
Really did get stuck.

Some prankster thought it would be neat
If he put glue upon the seat
Behind him.
And now the store is getting sued
"Cause when Bob cried that he was glued,
No one came to find him.

Big bucks from this Home Depot
Will get paid.
Bob might soon own Home Depot,
And I am quite dismayed.

If sappy little crappers cry
And beat Home Depot,
Why, oh, why can't I?

The strangeness never ends, does it? Enjoyed it.

Great job of spoofing this news item, which I hadn't heard...5's

I heard this on the news - great job of putting it to music! (Or to put it another way, nothing crappy about this parody!)

Brilliant, JJ. Beautifully put, especially the "sappy little crappers cry" line.

Ah, nothing like unusual humor.

Hadn't heard the story, but you told it better than the news did. Good editorializing too. I think it would be news if something bad happened to someone in the vicinity of a large corporation and they *didn't* sue. Anyway, great job; I think the middle verse is my fave.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Another story in the news today indicates that Bob might have tried this stunt once before.

Hard to believe that it's based on a true story...but then again, not so hard to believe. It's an LOL-er either way, John...=) Great job!

You rock. I propose the death penalty for people who file frivolous lawsuits. And their attorneys.

SOTM - Well, there are some rear sensory conditions where one might not have noticed, butt I'm willing to bet that if anyone else of us were to feel some kind of paste on the seat when we sat down like that there's no way we'd stay seated long enough for it to dry!

(SOTM) see above - and speaking on behalf of all the sappy crying little crappers of the world, I find this tale inspiring, not to mention PERFECTLY paced - nice, concise, makes its point, and runs (or did the runs come first?) - great stuff JJ :-)

(SOTM) Excellent job on this news story. If Bob did this for money I think he deserves something, after all, the sight (and personal humiliation) of being carted out of a restroom with a toliet seat stuck to his rear end certainly entertained everyone within eyeshot. If not his own doing, he deserves nothing - he who doesn't look at a public toilet seat before doing business is an idiot of the highest order.

McDonalds got a 'Burger Bill' passed that prevents people from suing them for getting fat. People who instigate frivolous lawsuits should get counter-sued for the emotional damage they're doing to our little kids who get inspired by this stuff. Anyhow... good work capturing it in parody form JJ.

Ah, I remember this one. Still outstanding.

SOZ and OMO! That was great, I was laughing so much at the part where the kid got his but glued to the sseat, but none came to help him. Poor problemed kid. He didn't even have the sense o know that if he did that, he would get stuck!
